Briana Heflin has a bachelor of arts degree in education from Dallas Baptist University. She has worked as a tutor and taught in public schools. She has homeschooled the past 10 years, with history & literature being her favorite subjects to teach at home. Her two teen boys have attended Science Etc. since they were little bitty first graders!

She loves spending time in the beauty of God's creation with her husband and four children. Because of her family make-up, she has intricate knowledge about adoption issues and experience with kids who have neurodivergence. She is also a part of the Christ Chapel family and has been involved in various ministries there for over a decade.

Briana is a native Texan, descendant of a Texas Ranger, and raised with a Dad who is a Texas History buff. She's taken her kids on travels all around Texas visiting historical sites and seeing history come to life.  It was only natural for her to now teach TX History here at Science Etc.!
