Kathryn Estry

Kathryn Estry earned her Bachelors of Arts in Education as well as her Masters in Education with a Specialist in Middle School from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette, Louisiana.  She taught in the public school system in self-contained elementary classrooms, as well as anatomy/physiology and algebra at the middle school level. Kathryn was blessed to be able to share her passion for learning as a G/T teacher and counselor and as a presenter at state G/T conventions.  

While teaching and also after retiring from the public school system, Kathryn has participated in and taught a variety of arts and crafts and especially enjoys the creativity of paper crafting.  This passion has developed into a small online business where she sells her paper creations, but she has the most fun teaching others the skill of paper design.

A member of choirs all of her life, Kathryn currently leads her Bible study home group in Christian hymns and worships through song as a member of the traditional choir at Christ Chapel Bible Church.

Known as Nana to her family, Kathryn thoroughly enjoys spending time with her kids and their families.  You will see her daughter, Brandi McCarthy, as well as three of her five grandchildren also at Science, Etc.
